Girls Weekend Away
Have a weekend away in the Blue Mountains!
The Blue Mountains is the perfect spot for a girls weekend away. It’s close to Sydney – just 90 minutes – but once you’re up in the clean, crisp mountain air you’ll forget all your cares.
There are plenty of ways to enjoy your weekend escape – starting right at your Mountain Whispers property. Book in a massage or facial with our beauty therapists, enjoy a 3-course meal with our in-house chef, enjoy chatting in the warm Blue Mountains sun on the balcony or veranda, or kick back with a glass of wine by an open fire.
The Great Outdoors
One of the most popular weekend away activities in the Blue Mountains is exploring the region’s heritage-listed national parks – there’s plenty of walking tracks, lookouts and picnic spots on offer.
You can’t miss Katoomba Cascades, the Three Sisters Walk, Witches Leap Circuit or Govetts Leap. Looking for a longer walking track? Try Victoria Falls, Dardanelles Pass, the Grand Canyon Track, Mount Hay or the Ruined Castle Walk. And there’s the areas’ waterfalls, including Wentworth Falls, Katoomba Falls, Bridal Veil Falls, Adeline Falls, Leura Cascades and Minniehaha Falls.

With Indulgent Options right on your doorstep, you don’t need to step foot outside your Mountain Whispers property. Book a single indulgence for you and your friends, or a package deal and spoil yourselves. Indulgences at Mountain Whispers “MW” Collection include:

“Mountain Whispers is an unforgettable experience. Despite my love of the Blue Mountains, we really didn’t see much reason to leave Leura Rose and I couldn’t think of a more amazing setting to spend quality time with two of my best friends. The attention to detail and provisions are outstanding.” Simone. Facebook. December 2015
Catch Up Over Dinner & Drinks
If you don’t feel like dining in, there are plenty of places to have a great meal and a few drinks in Leura and Katoomba. Try the Carrington Hotel, Leura Garage, Lilianfels or Nineteen23 for dinner. Or if you prefer lunch, there’s Unique Patisserie, Lily’s Pad, Red Door Cafe, the Gingerbread House or Rubyfruit.
Be Adventurous
There are plenty of activities to get your adrenaline pumping. Try abseiling, canyoning, rock climbing, horse riding or mountain biking. The Blue Mountains Adventure Company, Life’s an Adventure and TCP Day Tours offer adventure activities for visitors of all ages.
You can also experience the Blue Mountains from a different angle with a 4WD adventure through the region. Tread Lightly Eco Tours run fully-guided bush walking and 4WD tours, while Blue Mountains Guides offer a personalised tour and adventure just for your Girls Weekend away. Experience a unique twilight tour with Blue Mountains Eco Tours or head off the beaten track with Hellarewe Adventures.
