Winter is almost at an end and now it’s time for the summer beauty of the Blue Mountains to reveal itself! With warmth and bloom comes so much more to do on your stay, so this month we thought we would share some of the wonderful flora that can be seen on your visit to the Mountains this season.

See what’s in bloom at the Botanic Gardens
Surrounded by UNESCO World Heritage Area wilderness, the Blue Mountains Botanic Gardens in Mt Tomah boasts a vivid array of walking trails and cool-climate plant displays complimented by scenic views. Gardens you can explore include the Woodlands with its towering trees, the Rock Gardens with its vast collection of Southern Hemisphere plants, and the Ornamental Gardens with stunning horticultural designs. Relax by the Tomah Café afterwards to soak up all that you’ve seen. You even have the chance to partake in a range of activities such as guided walking tours.

Cherry blossoms at the Everglades House & Gardens
Now is the perfect time to visit the Everglades to walk along the cherry blossom trail, where there are plenty of photographic opportunities under the pink and white bloom. Other highlights include the swaths of azaleas, bluebells, daffodils, and lilacs as well as other spectacular sights.

Sights at the Campbell Rhododendron Gardens
Head to Blackheath to see a wonderful display of exotic Azaleas, Rhododendrons, Waratahs, and other species in striking colours of pink, purples, oranges, and reds. Bring your hiking boots and walk along the different trails available through the gardens and discover sweeping views for your photographic pleasure.
Enjoy the Leura Gardens Festival
Towards the end of the month starting on the 29th, head on to the gardens available at the Leura Gardens Festival to absorb their dazzling displays of azaleas, rhododendrons, dogwoods, camellias, and so much more. You can find out more about the festival here.
