Spring has sprung, and now is the ideal opportunity to make the most of all the bushwalks the Blue Mountains have to offer before the summer heat settles in. Explore the bushwalks and scenic spring flora and fauna and then come home to a luxurious and tranquil home to put your feet up.
Immersion with nature doesn’t just end at the trail, as of course, Mountain Whispers’ properties have beautiful gardens and scenic views to further compliment your getaway!
This month I thought I would share a few of my favourite escapes in nature all on our doorstep here in the Blue Mountains;
- Three Sisters Walk
A classic and one you’ll find listed on any website you can find, about what to do in the Blue Mountains. This iconic walk never gets old and although is short and sweet, you’ll find the scenic views walking from Echo Point and other lookouts such as Honeymoon Bridge to be simply stunning and memorable and one you will want to do many times in all seasons.
2. Katoomba Falls Round Walk
This easy circuit is most definitely one for your list, with lush views of Jamison Valley, down to an impressive waterfall that forms part of the Kedumba river. Walking along bush tracks can work up a sweat, so how fantastic does it sound to be immersed by cool, waterfall air as you stop for a lunch break on your walk? Cameras essential!
3. Mount Banks Summit Walk
Mount Banks is one of the most recognisable landmarks in the Blue Mountains, and the hike to the summit offers sweeping views of the surrounding area. It’s the perfect walk for any photography lovers!
4. Lapstone Zig Zag Walk
This historic walking track is fascinating as it follows an abandoned railway line to the Knapsack Bridge. The bridge is a large sandstone arch viaduct built in the 19th century to carry the Zig Zag Railway line over the Knapsack Gully.
Now that you are armed with a handful of ideas for your next bush walk, all that is left to do is to select the property to accompany you! Enjoy everything the Blue Mountains’ has to offer from one of our luxurious homes and soak those walking feet in one of the decadent bathtubs!
