Firstly, I’d like to extend a heartfelt virtual elbow-bump to my fellow New South Wales residents. It has been a long road to post-COVID recovery, but we have slowly seen restaurants, bars, coffee shops and gyms make a triumphant return to our everyday lives. To our Victorian neighbours, I send you my thoughts and best wishes; I sincerely hope that you are hanging in there, safely and healthily emerging from what has historically been the longest lock down across the globe.
Covid-19 has struck us all in a spectacular way, whether it has been economically, emotionally, physically or mentally. We have all watched the headlines unfold on a daily basis, we’ve all home-schooled or worked from home, usually from what was once known as the dining room table. And we have all felt the pinch of financial stress or disrupted routines on our relationships; the relationships that I am coming to believe are the forgotten fatality of 2020.
Ask around the room how your co-workers or friend’s relationships are holding up through the corona-related changes of the last six months, and I fear that the majority of responses will seem grim.
Romance has taken a back seat to routine; spontaneity has been lost to sanitiser.
And with the outlook into next year predicting much of the same social distancing, how can we combat flatlining partnerships and reinvigorate our connection with our ‘better halves’?
Simple.
A good old-fashioned cheeky weekend away. That’s how.
I mean, just imagine it……..
No kids needing help with maths homework. No zoom calls from your laptop on your knees. No socially distanced queueing at the supermarket. No endless washing. No Netflix binging in sweats on the couch. No hovering around the fridge wondering what to prepare for dinner. Again.
This month, take control of your relationship and book a weekend away, just the two of you.
Dedicate a few short days to the love of your life, to connect with them again and remind yourself of all of the amazing things they do that make you smile from the inside.
Think of cheese plates and champagne and long talks by the fireplace. Think lazy sleep ins and warm coffee and a mid-morning walk into town, if you feel like it. Think dinner in a hatted-restaurant, wine tasting and perhaps a later night than you’ve had in a while. Imagine yourself indulging in the best nights’ sleep you’ve had in forever, together.
You don’t need to plan an intricate itinerary; you certainly don’t need to organise plans at all.
Just take your time, drink each other in, and revisit your love for one another in the silence and serenity of your own private luxury cottage, nestled in the heart of the Blue Mountains.
Pick you dates, and book your accommodation today.
We’ll be here, ready to help you create a restful, reinvigorating weekend for you and the love of your life.
